Sustainability

As one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of reinforcing steel, we bear a great responsibility towards people and the environment. This is reflected in numerous initiatives at Reinforcing Steel Europe. As early as 2011, for example, we introduced an energy management system at our plant in Kehl (which later led to our ISO 50001 certification). Several of our group’s plants are connected to waterways and/or the rail network, enabling us to make our transport operations more environmentally friendly. And in our Code of Conduct, we set out strict rules for treating colleagues with respect. We are convinced that the well-being of our employees, a responsible approach to the environment and the satisfaction of our customers are goals that reinforce one another and ensure our shared success in the long term.
